Cropwell Butler – Appeal Won in Rushcliffe’s Greenbelt

Paula Money was instructed to undertake a planning appeal for the erection of a triple detached garage which was refused by Rushcliffe Borough Council. The application was refused on the grounds that the Council considered that the proposal would result in an adverse effect on the open character of the site and the surrounding area which was situated within the green belt.

A very detailed and comprehensive case was presented to the Planning Inspector which demonstrated that the proposed garage would not have a detrimental impact upon the character of the site and the surrounding area. The Planning Inspector agreed with our position and the appeal was allowed.

On the back of this appeal the client has stated that:

“A very reasonable quote was given and instructions to proceed were placed with Paula Money. An excellent written representation was prepared by her and submitted to the Planning Inspectorate and following a site meeting with the Planning Inspector we received a favorable decision for the three bay garage to be built.”
